Referral Process

1. Students are placed at the Georgia Academy for the Blind through the IEP process. 

2. We serve as an extension of the continuum of services offered through local districts across the state and are available to serve the needs of students who require additional supports and services in order to meet their IEP goals.

3. Students must be a current GA resident between the ages of 3-21 and have a current GA eligibility in the area of Vision Impairment. 

4. Additional information and referral packets are available to special education administrators at the local level and can be obtained by contacting Tyrene Neil, Student Services Coordinator at 478-751-6083, ext 1134.
