Smokey Powell Center

The Georgia Department of Education, Office of State Schools, is pleased to offer VI Outreach Services through the Smokey Powell Center. The center is housed on the Georgia Academy for the Blind campus and provides services to any student throughout the state of Georgia who is blind or visually impaired. Services are provided at no cost to the student. 

NOTE:

Due to the high volume of AT assessments currently in progress, we are temporarily pausing the acceptance of new requests. This will allow us to dedicate the necessary time and attention to the students we are currently serving. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We will provide an update once we resume new AT assessments/consults. We will not make a waitlist. If you have any urgent concerns or questions, please contact us.
